OPEN CALL! We’re pleased to announce two new yearly opportunities that we’ll be offering local artists as part of our BCN artist development programme, alongside our existing bursaries for five artists per year. An uplift from Arts Council England has allowed us to invest more resources into the programme, providing local artists with extra opportunities for development, critical engagement, and collaboration outside of formal outside education.
✹ Art & Experimental Writing ✹
We’re launching of a new, yearly publication of art and experimental writing by artists who are based in, or have a strong relationship to, Sandwell and the Black Country. Selected writers for this year’s iteration of the journal will have the opportunity to attend a writing masterclass. Fee: £250.
✹ Group Exhibition ✹
We’re inviting proposals from artists in Sandwell and the Black Country to apply to showcase their work in a group exhibition, taking place between 13 – 26 July 2023 at The Wolverhampton School of Art. All mediums / ranges of practices welcome. Fee: £500, plus £300 production budget.
