We Are Wednesbury Magazine

We Are Wednesbury Magazine is a community publication that records local stories and events that are happening on the high street. As well as sharing stories and forthcoming events, the publication will showcase artistic work produced as part of a wider cultural programme.

Working with young Citizen Journalists and the people of Wednesbury, the magazine responds to the overarching theme of collective imagination and people’s hopes and visions for the future. People were invited to participate in a free programme of creative projects and activities, with performances, community walks and celebrations, street festivals, processions and art workshops taking place on the streets and community spaces of Wednesbury.

As well as print copies available in various businesses in Wednesbury, you can download a pdf copy of our latest, and past, magazines.

The experience of writing for the citizen
journalist programme has been extraordinary and
has helped to develop my inner writing skills and
passion and also interacting with people who had
similar interests to me.
