Dreams

Dreams is a body of work in progress, a reflection on living in exile, by artist Amak Mahmoodian.

Through this body of work I wish to explore – via photography, poetry, video and drawing  – if the dreams I have, which are my form of connection to my lost home and family –  are replicated in others in similar situations.  In the shadow of what is happening globally, this has become a way for me to talk with people who are away from their homeland.

Dreams are deeply personal, a vision between reality and imagination, through this project I also want to make a connection with individuals living in exile, to hear their dreams and to see if there is common ground.
