Poetry Mapping Workshop

Wednesday 22 March 2023 11:00 — 14:00
BCN

Join us for a relaxed and social Poetry Mapping workshop, led by artist and writer Lee Mackenzie, who has recently been commissioned as part of Multistory’s Green Roots programme.

The workshop will combine photography, writing and poetry to create ‘poetry maps’; illustrations and text that respond to the local area and its stories, exploring how physical spaces become places of meaning to people. We’ll walk up West Bromwich high street together, photographing what we find, and then transform our photographs into our very own Poetry Maps, with our stories, poems, definitions and drawings.

No prior experience needed. Details will be sent to attendees ahead of the day.

This workshop is hosted as part of our BCN artist development programme. Make connections and be part of a supportive, creative community in Sandwell and the Black Country!
