Fundraising Workshop: Developing Your Creative Practice ’22

Thursday 24 November 2022 18:00 — 20:00
BCN

A fundraising workshop designed to help you with applying to the Arts Council England’s Developing your Creative Practice fund, which opens on 12 December 2022. Producer Jenny Moore will walk you through the important considerations for your application and the most common mistakes people make when applying for this funding pot. This is an informal workshop, so bring along any questions you may have about your application!

You may have yet to decide on your project, have never applied to DYCP before or you may be experienced in writing funding applications – all levels of experience are welcome.

To sign up, please send an email to Jess ([email protected]). A Zoom link will be sent out to attendees ahead of the event.

This workshop is hosted as part of our Blast Creative Network programme. The BCN programme offers talks, workshops, opportunities and social events to bring emergent artists based in Sandwell or the Black Country a space for knowledge sharing and support. You can find out more here.

About Jenny

Jenny has 20 years experience of working within the creative sector managing creative projects and events. She was one of the founding directors of Capsule, an arts organisation in Birmingham responsible for Supersonic Festival and Home of Metal (2011), and has worked on several projects with Multistory including the very ambitious Blast! The bookshop operates from “The Wren” a converted caravan. Since then she has travelled to festivals, markets and schools all over the UK and has developed a reading / storytelling and book buying service for schools as well as an independent book fair that can travel from school to school.

Through her various experiences she has gained a well-rounded knowledge of running projects from concept to completion including fundraising, planning, marketing and finance management.
