We’re excited to invite proposals from artists in Sandwell and the Black Country to apply to showcase their work in a group exhibition, taking place between 13 – 26 July 2023 at The Wolverhampton School of Art. All mediums / ranges of practices welcome; including visual, sound, moving image, ceramics, and small installations, as well as performances that engage with the space or proposals for small interventions that contribute to the space throughout the show.

This Group Exhibition will be a yearly recurring opportunity for artists, developing a platform for artists in the region, and an opportunity for critical engagement with local arts practices and networks.

Exhibiting artists that are selected will be offered a fee of £500 and a production budget of £300. You will need to arrange delivery of artworks to the school during install week.

Access: we will tailor the process of working together according to any access requirements you may have, in order to best support you to participate in the group exhibition.

Submitting your proposal: Please fill in the form linked to below, with a proposal of maximum 300 words and examples of your work.

You can also apply by sending us a video or audio clip of up to 3 minutes long, by emailing [email protected].

If you’d like to talk with someone in the team before you apply or tell us if we can do anything to make the application and/or the selection process more accessible for you, please use the same contact details above.
