Join us at a community event taking place in Market Place to celebrate the wonderful town of Wednesbury. Artist duo Hipkiss & Graney have been working alongside Wednesbury residents to create new fabric banners in a series of textile and storytelling workshops, and their work will be shared at a community celebration of the refurbished clocktower. You can get involved with painting your own fabric pieces inspired by your stories and memories of Wednesbury on the day!
Alongside this, you can also take part in a series of community walks that will animate the town throughout the day, featuring newly commissioned poetry focussing on the social, historic and physical landscapes of the town.
There’ll be free cakes and hot drinks and you can enjoy live jazz and a brass band. All of the activities are free and you can drop in throughout the day and stay as long as you want to.
