“There are over 140 allotment sites in the Black Country, each one with its own distinctive character and history.“
Susie Parr

Join us for West Brom’s very own Gardeners’ Question Time at Sandwell Central Library.

Special guest and chair of the panel is Alys Fowler, a British horticulturist and journalist and presenter on the long-running
BBC television programme Gardeners’ World. Joining Alys, is Susie Parr, writer, researcher, amateur beekeeper and author of Black
Country Allotment Society, a 2014 publication with Multistory, as well as local allotment holders. There will be a blind food tasting before Question Time and homemade soup by Smethwick-based Ideal for All.

This event is brought to you as part of Black Country Allotments, an exhibition about the lives and experiences of plot holders from eight allotments set in the heart of Sandwell. This exhibition is touring to six Sandwell libraries from 26 Sept to 18 Nov 2017.

Do you have a burning question about your garden or allotment? To submit your question and / or reserve a place ring Sandwell Central Library on: 0121 569 4904. Free but booking essential.
