We are thrilled to announce the first in-person meeting of the Blast! Creative Network since 2019, at Lodge Road Community Centre on 2 December! Arrive at 6pm to get settled in, grab a drink and meet other local artists and creatives.
During the event BCN bursary recipients Perm Bhachu, Laura Chen, Atlanta Ellis, Scarlett Ford and Vijay Pall will give short presentations on the work they’ve produced during the bursary period, and we will host a communal discussion about the role of arts community in Sandwell and the future of the BCN. This is an informal social event so feel free to come along on your own or with a friend, snacks and a bar provided!
Free but booking essential as spaces are limited. Book here.
The event will include a BSL interpreter, and childcare; please get in touch with Jess at email@example.com or +44 7922 571832 to let us know if you have any access requirements.
We recommend taking a lateral flow test on the day of the event, and COVID safe measures will be in place, including reduced capacity, hand sanitiser as you enter, track and trace and the flexibility to space out chairs.
About the BCN
The Blast! Creative Network offers local artists a free, rolling programme of talks, workshops, and social events taking place monthly, and is a space for mutual support, learning and knowledge sharing.
The programme is a mixture of public talks, where we invite art practitioners, curators and community groups to speak about a range of subjects designed to develop participants’ practice, and closed-door workshops and professional development activities that are open to artists and creatives based in Sandwell and the Black Country.
