Jeff Wall, Insomnia, 1977

I love how Jeff Wall borrows and re-interprets images from the history of art for inspiration in his contemporary work. This is Insomnia, one of his earliest pieces. I thought about this a lot when thinking of how to represent migrant men addicted to John Collis cough mixture, which was an opiate, in the late 1960s. @billster187
