Yesterday’s ‘Out of the Shadows’ half-day symposium led to many important and urgent discussions regarding the inequalities faced by people with autism and learning disabilities in and out of the criminal justice system. A massive thank you to Polly Braden and Sally Williams, to Jessica Litherland  @mac_birmingham , speakers Tracy Hammond, Sophie Khan, Derek Lee, Danny McDowell, Jenny Talbot and Lynda Teagle, and above all a heartfelt thanks to the project participants Roy and Lindsey for contributing to the conversation with their personal experiences.
