Susan Meiselas’ A Room of Their Own, Installation at West Bromwich Market Hall, November 2017

It’s an exciting time at Multistory; we continue to invite artists to make art with, for and about local people in response to their lives and experiences and, next year we’re taking this to the next level by producing Blast!, a major new arts festival of photography, walks and talks in Sandwell. Blast! will take place across six consecutive weekends in May-June 2019, and will be played out across the streets, shops, libraries and community halls in the six towns Sandwell.

We make work that sets out to be enjoyable and revealing. Our work is driven by stories – discovering them, hearing them, shaping them and sharing them.

We’re looking for a Programme / Marketing Assistant to work with us on our arts programme, events and audience development activities based in our office in West Bromwich.  This is initially a 6-month post (subject to review at the 5 month stage), part-time, 2 days per week. Days can be to suit but there will be specific days when you’ll need to attend events (please note that these will be at locations around Sandwell / the Black Country). You must be able to work flexible hours, and sometimes work on weekends and evenings when required depending on programmed events.  It’s a freelance, self employed contract at £100.00 per day and you will be responsible for your tax and NI contributions.

Please email your CV to [email protected] with a covering letter that tells us how you meet the skills and experience detailed in the job description – to be found heredeadline is 5 pm on Wednesday 30 May, 2018.  We’ll let you know no later than Tuesday 5 June If you’ve been shortlisted and interviews will take place on Tuesday 12 June.
