School assembly

In May Agents For Change put on a fun and informative assembly for our school to tell them about who we are and what we do. We told them what the public thought of them as young people (most people we asked were very positive!) and asked them about how they would like to be perceived and how they, and other people in our community, can help us to achieve that. We also handed out cards with our web address, www.agentsforchange.net, on them so that the students could visit the website and find out more about us.

We asked students to join our group and get involved and many came up to members of our group and asked how to and if they could join. Lots of students, the majority being year 11, also came up to us or Mr Hamdi and congratulated us on the assembly and said they really enjoyed the assembly and felt passionate about the issues we were raising. I think that we have made the students at Acland Burghley think about the way they act and the negative stereotypes that their behaviour sometimes results in. The next step is our poster campaign!!
